You must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for the recruitment –

Age criteria

The maximum age for General candidates is 42, 47 for SC/ST candidates, and 45 for OBC candidates. These age limits are considered as of the application closing date.

Educational Qualification

The candidate must hold a Graduation Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent.

Candidates that are Not Eligible for Railway Goods Train Manager Recruitment

• The notified post is a safety category post; hence, PwBD employees are not eligible.
• Employees who are in higher grade than the notified post are not eligible to apply.
• Employees who are in same grade pay or lower grade pay (whether Safety category or Non-Safety category posts) but do not possess the requisite educational qualification, age criteria, etc., as prescribed in this notification.
• Those candidates who are appearing in and/or awaiting results of the final examination for minimum qualification at the time of applying for the posts are not eligible.
• Employees who are Trainee/Substitute and not regularized are not eligible to apply.
• RPF/RPSF personnel are not eligible to apply for GDCE in terms of the Railway Board’s letter No. E (NG) I/2002/PM2/9 dated 11/08/2003.
• Law Assistants, Catering Inspectors & Accounts Cadre are not eligible to apply in terms of the Railway Board’s letter No. E(NG)I/2000/PN2/12 dated 21/08/2001 (RBE No.165/2001).

Documents Required for Railway Goods Train Manager Recruitment

You will need the following documents while applying for this recruitment –

• Photograph
• Signature
• Self-attested copy of Railway identity card, issued by authorized signatory.
• Self-attested copy of proof of Date of Birth.
• Self-attested copies of educational qualification certificates relevant to this GDCE eligibility norms.
• Self-attested copies of Community certificate in case of SC/ST and OBC candidates, issued by authorized signatory per the following instructions:
• SC/ST Candidates: Candidates claiming to belong to SC/ST communities are required
  to submit a Community Certificate from the Competent Authority in the prescribed
  format (Annexure – I of this Notification)
• OBC Candidates: Employees belonging to the OBC community should enclose the self-attested copy of the latest OBC Caste Certificate as per the format given in Annexure II. The certificate should not be more than one year old on the day of filling up of
  Application Form.
• A self-declaration by an OBC candidate should be in the format given in Annexure – IIA.
  Certificates in languages other than English or Hindi should be accompanied by an
  attested translation in English/Hindi.

Step 6: Final Submission

Double-check all details provided in the application. Ensure all information is correct before final submission, as no changes will be entertained afterward.

Step 7: Print Application Form

Print at least four copies of the completed application form.

Step 8: Submit the Application to the Controlling Officer

Enclosed are the required documents with the application. Now, submit the application in triplicate to your Controlling Officer (not below the rank of officer of Assistant scale) before the last date.
Also, obtain an acknowledgement of receipt. Failure to submit properly will result in the cancellation of your candidature.
