Eligibility Criteria for Railway Group D Recruitment 2024

Application fees for Railway Group D Recruitment 2024

• For General and OBC candidates, the application fee is ₹500, out of which ₹400 is refundable after appearing in the Computer Based Test (CBT).
• For SC, ST, EWS, Women, Ex-Servicemen, and PwBD Candidates, the application fee is reduced to ₹250, and the entire amount is refundable after the CBT.

Selection Process for Railway Group D Vacancy

The RRB Group D Recruitment 2024 selection process is carefully designed to check if candidates are right for various Group D jobs in the Indian Railways.

Here’s a breakdown of the process –

• Computer-Based Test (CBT): This initial stage comprises an objective-type examination covering subjects such as General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and reasoning, and General Awareness and Current Affairs.
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who pass the CBT move on to the PET, where their physical fitness is checked.
• Document Verification: Candidates who pass the PET must show original documents, such as educational certificates, age proof, and category certificates, for checking.
• Medical Examination: After document verification, candidates have a medical check-up. The medical standards depend on the job requirements, ensuring candidates are healthy and fit for their duties.

Expected Salary Railway Group D Recruitment 2024

Candidates selected under RRB Group D Recruitment will receive a basic salary of Rs 18,000. Additionally, they will get various allowances, including:

• Dearness Allowance (DA)
• Daily Allowance
• Transport Allowance
• House Rent Allowance (HRA)
• Allowance for Night Duty
• Medical Facilities
• Overtime Allowance

Including these allowances, the in-hand salary for RRB Group D posts is between ₹22,500 and ₹25,380 per month.

Exam Pattern for Group D Level-I

The Railway Administration can hold the Computer-Based Test (CBT) in one or more stages.

If you pass the CBT, you will take a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), then go through Document Verification and a Medical Examination. There is also a negative marking system where 1/3rd of a mark is taken off for each wrong answer.
