WBJEE counselling 2024 will be held from 10th to 16th July, as announced on wbjeeb.nic.in. Eligible candidates must participate for admission to BTech courses in participating institutes. During counselling, candidates need to register, pay the fee, and choose their preferred courses and colleges. 

Mock allotment results will help candidates adjust their preferences. Seat allotment results will be announced online for each round. Details on seat availability will be provided before the counselling process. Candidates must report on time with original documents for verification.

Overview of WBJEE Counselling Notification 2024

The WBJEEB has started the WBJEE 2024 counselling process after announcing the results. Counselling will occur in multiple rounds based on seat availability, with details provided by WBJEEB for each course and institute. For B.Arch admissions, NATA 2024 scores will be used. WBJEE Counselling Process 2024

The WBJEE Counselling 2024 uses a centralized, computer-based system for choice-filling and seat allocation. Candidates must verify documents and pay tuition fees for provisional admission in each allocation round. Only WBJEE qualifiers and JEE Main AIR holders are eligible. The counselling process has six steps to secure admission to desired courses and institutions. After the final step, candidates must report to designated centers for document verification.

Step-by-Step Process for WBJEE Counselling 2024

Step 1: WBJEE Registration

1. Visit the official WBJEE Counselling 2024 website.
2. Click on the registration link for WBJEE counselling.
3. Select “New Candidate Registration.”

1. Enter application number, roll number, name, and date of birth for WBJEE 2024 or JEE Main 2024.
2. Click “Submit” to complete registration.

Step 2: Payment of Counselling Fee

• Pay INR 500 online via debit card, credit card, or net banking.
• Note: The fee is non-refundable.

Step 3: Filling and Locking of Choices

1. Log in using the ID and Password.
2. Fill in preferences for colleges and courses.
3. Choices must be locked before the final date; otherwise, the system locks the last saved choices.
4. Select at least 20 choices.
5. Print the filled choices for future reference.

Step 4: Seat Allotment

Seats are allocated based on merit, preferences, and availability. There are three rounds of seat allotment.

Options for Candidates:

• Accept and Freeze: Pay the seat acceptance fee.
• Accept with Upgradation: Opt for potential upgradation.
• Take No Action: Forfeit current allotment but remain eligible for the next cycle.

WBJEE Counselling 2024 Round 2

In WBJEE Counselling 2024 Round 2, candidates who opted for upgradation in the first round will be considered for seat allotment. However, those who were allotted their first choice in Round 1 are not eligible for an upgrade. 

Candidates opting for upgradation must report to the Reporting Centre during the second round. In this round, candidates can change their upgrade status from “Yes” to “No,” but not from “No” to “Yes.”

WBJEE Mop-Up Round

The WBJEE mop-up round is optional and occurs after rounds 1 and 2. To participate, candidates must complete online registration and pay the registration fee. This round is open to students with a valid rank in WBJEE 2024 or JEE Main 2024. Participants must submit their college and course preferences. The allotment results will be published on the official website.

Eligible participants include:

• Students allocated seats in rounds 1 or 2 who paid the seat acceptance fees but did not complete admission.
• Students not allocated seats in rounds 1 or 2.
• Students not previously registered for WBJEE counselling 2024.
• All registered candidates except those who voluntarily withdrew from the e-counselling process.

WBJEE 2024 Reporting Centers

After accepting a seat and paying the acceptance fee, students must report to the designated WBJEE 2024 reporting centers according to the provided schedule. These centers are the institutes assigned during the counselling process. Candidates must bring all required documents to the reporting centers.
