DTE handles TN MBA/MCA admissions counselling centrally while counselling for other CEETA PG courses is handled separately by TANCA/CEETA PG counselling.

Eligibility Criteria for TANCET Counselling
To be eligible for counselling, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- State Residency: Candidates must be residents of Tamil Nadu and natives of the state.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should have completed a bachelor’s degree with a minimum duration of three years from a recognized university or institute in India. They must have secured at least 50% marks for the unreserved category and 45% marks for reserved categories.
- TANCET Score: Candidates must have appeared for the TANCET 2024 exam and obtained a valid score.
- Age Limit: There is no specified lower or upper age limit.
Stages for TANCET Counselling
The counselling will involve the following stages to ensure a smooth enrollment for MBA/MCA courses –
- Counselling Registration: Candidates need to register for counselling.
- Document Uploading: Candidates must upload necessary documents.
- Document Verification: Submitted documents will be verified.
- Choice Filling: After document verification, candidates have to complete choice filling for the colleges they want to apply for.
- College Reporting: Once the result of counselling is announced, you have to report at the college.

- Unreserved Category: ₹600/-
- SC/SCA/ST Category: ₹300/-

- Class 12 mark sheet or 3-year diploma certificate
- UG degree certificate with semester mark sheets
- TANCET 2024 admit card

- Then, register yourself using your exam details such as roll number, application number, and more.
- Once registered, log into the portal and begin the counselling process. For this, you will be asked to enter some important information along with supportive documents.
- Next, you have to select the colleges you want to apply for.
- Pay the counselling fee and lock in the colleges of your choice.
