Selection Process of NABARD Grade A Examination

The selection procedure for the NABARD Grade A examination for Assistant Manager posts involves three stages:

Phase 1 – Preliminary Exam

This is the initial screening test. It includes multiple sections such as Reasoning Ability, English Language, Computer Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Economic & Social Issues (ESI), and Agriculture & Rural Development (ARD).

The marks from this phase are used to shortlist candidates for the Mains exam.

Phase 2 – Mains Exam

This phase consists of more in-depth exams on relevant subjects.

  • For Grade A: General English and Economic and Social Issues, Agriculture, and Rural Development.
  • For Grade B: General English, Economic & Social Issues, Agriculture & Rural Development, and Development Economics, Statistics, Finance & Management.

The difficulty level is higher compared to the Preliminary exam and marks obtained in the Mains are considered for the final selection process.

Phase 3 – Interview or Personality Test

Candidates who clear the Mains exam are called for an interview.

The interview assesses the candidates’ personality, communication skills, and suitability for the role.

The final merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the Mains exam and the Interview.

NABARD Grade A Exam Pattern 2024 – Phase I

Both the NABARD Grade A and Grade B exams share a similar Prelims phase with the same syllabus and exam pattern. If you are preparing for the NABARD Grade A 2024 exam, understanding the exam pattern is crucial.
