According to reports, JSSC is planning to release the application form for the recruitment of sub-inspectors after July this year. Once the form is released, candidates will have four weeks to apply for the position.

Eligibility Criteria for Jharkhand SI Recruitment

Here are the eligibility criteria for SI recruitment as per the guidelines issued by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission. Candidates appearing for the exam must fulfill these criteria –

Educational Qualification

Candidates appearing for the Jharkhand SI exam must have their bachelor’s degree completed from any recognized university. As of now, no specific field for graduation is required. 

Age Limit

The minimum age for the SI post is 18 years, whereas the maximum is 30 years.

Note that the candidates from the OBC category get 3 years of age relaxation, and SC/ST candidates get 5 years of relaxation on age compulsion.

What is the salary of Jharkhand SI?

Once the candidate has successfully passed the prelims, mains, and physical examination, they can join the SI service from the police department with a pay scale of Rs. 9,300/—to Rs. 35,000/—approx. The salary structure of Jharkhand SI also includes a grade pay of Rs. 4,200/—along with the other allowances offered.

You need to follow these simple steps to apply for the Jharkhand SI vacancy –

• Open the official website of JSSC on any web browser of your choice.
• Read the instructions column and eligibility column thoroughly to understand the terms and conditions.
• Next, click on the Apply for JSSC SI button.
• If you are a new user, create a registration ID by providing a valid number and E-mail. For existing users, the previous registration ID with the same Login ID and password will work.
• Open the application form and fill in all the credentials. Double-check the information and documents provided to avoid any further nuisance. Make sure you provide all the scanned copies of the documents.
• Lastly, make the payment to complete the application process.
• Take a printout of the application form along with the Fee receipt for future reference.

Exam Pattern of the Jharkhand SI Exam

Selection of the candidates is based on the results of three exams conducted by JSSC. Here is the exam pattern for the post of Sub-Inspector in the police department of Jharkhand –

This is a CBT-based examination (both prelims and mains); hence, candidates are requested to prepare accordingly.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) 

Candidates appearing for PET should know that everyone must clear the final physical exam for recruitment at the SI post.
