There are many states in our country where women are not allowed to leave the house to work. Although they are willing to work, they are not allowed to leave the house.

Therefore, the government has started the free sewing machine scheme so that such women can earn a good income by sewing at home. With this, women will not need to depend on anyone and will become self-reliant.

• Free sewing machines will be provided to more than 50,000 needy women.

Eligibility for Free Sewing Machine Scheme

To avail of the benefit of the free sewing machine, you must meet the following eligibility criteria –

• The applicant must be a female Indian.
• The age of the applicant should be between 20 years to 40 years.
• The household income should not be more than ₹ 12000.
• Widows and disabled women will be given priority.

Documents Required for Free Sewing Machine Scheme

To apply for this scheme, the beneficiary woman should have all the documents given below –

• Aadhar card
• Identity card
• Income certificate
• Age certificate
• Community certificate
• Passport size photo
• Mobile number
• If the woman is a widow, then her destitute widow certificate
• Disability Certificate (if the woman is disabled)

The Pradhan Mantri Silai Machine Yojana is currently available in the following states –

• Maharashtra

3. Maharashtra:
   • Scheme Name: Chief Minister’s Swayamsiddhi Mahila Sanman Yojana
   • Financial Assistance: Up to ₹10,000
   • Beneficiaries: Women entrepreneurs.
4. Madhya Pradesh:

• Submit the completed application form along with the attached documents to the respective authority, whether it’s the Common Service Center (CSC) or Gram Panchayat office.
