The Ladli Behna Scheme by the Madhya Pradesh Government is to strengthen the economic condition of all women and to make all the women of Madhya Pradesh empowered and self-reliant. It was started by the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, on 5 March 2023 last year.

Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹1,250 per month will be provided to the selected women, making it ₹15000 per annum.
Eligibility Criteria for Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana
To apply for this scheme, you will have to meet these eligibility criteria –
- Applicant must be a female
- The applicant must be married, which will also include widows, divorced, and abandoned women
- The applicant must be a native of Madhya Pradesh
- The annual income of the family should be less than ₹ 2.5 lakh
- The applicant’s age must fall between 23 and 60 years of age
- No member of the applicant’s family does a government job

You have to follow some steps to do E-KYC –

- Now, here you have to provide your Aadhar Card, PAN Card and Bank Account Passbook copies.
- After that, you have to complete the biometric verification.
