UGC NET 2024 Exam Schedule
The UGC NET 2024 June session, organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA), will take place from August 21, 2024, to September 4, 2024. The Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be held in two shifts daily:
- Morning Shift: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Admit Card of UGC NET 2024 Exam
The National Testing Agency has officially announced the release date for the admit card for UGC NET in June 2024. It is expected to be available for download approximately one week before the exam date, and candidates will be able to access it using their Registration Number and Password.
Eligibility Criteria for UGC NET 2024 Exam

Age Limit
- Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): The maximum age limit is 30 years as of the first day of the exam month. A 5-year relaxation is given to SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD/Third Gender candidates.
- Assistant Professor: There is no age limit.
Educational Qualification
- Master’s Degree: Candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university with at least 55% marks. SC/ST/PWD/OBC-NCL/Third Gender candidates need a minimum of 50% marks.
- Final Year Students: Candidates in the final year of their postgraduate studies are eligible to apply.
- Bachelor’s Degree: Candidates with a four-year Bachelor’s degree (eight semesters) or those in their final semester/year are also eligible to participate.

- Mode of Exam: The UGC NET June 2024 exam will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

- Type of Questions: The exam consists of objective-type multiple-choice questions.
- Papers: There are two papers: Paper I and Paper II.
