SSC CGL Selection Process 2024

The SSC CGL selection process is as follows:

Tier I: Qualifying Round

  • Exam Nature: The Tier-I exam is qualifying in nature.
  • Admit Card: Candidates who apply for the SSC CGL exam will receive roll numbers and admit cards for the Computer-Based Examination (Tier-I).
  • Shortlisting: Based on the results of the Tier-I exam, candidates will be shortlisted for the Tier-II examination.

Tier II: Main Examination

  • Paper I: Mandatory for all posts.
  • Paper II: Required for candidates applying for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) positions in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
  • Paper III: Necessary for candidates aiming for Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer positions.
  • Distinct Cut-Offs: Papers II (for JSO), III (for Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer), and I (for all other positions) will have separate cut-off scores.
  • Eligibility: All candidates who pass Tier I must take the Tier-II exams, which include Papers I, II, and III. However, only candidates shortlisted for JSO and Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer positions need to appear for Papers II and III.
