Physical Standards
Candidates must pass a physical fitness test (PFT) that includes running 1.6 kilometers in 7 minutes for males and 8 minutes for females and completing 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, and 20 squats within the specified time.
Height
Male candidates must be at least 162 centimeters tall, and female candidates must be at least 152 centimeters tall. Candidates from the North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand may be accepted at a lower minimum height of 147 centimeters.
Music Ability
(i) Proficiency Requirements:
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in music, including accuracy in tempo and pitch and the ability to sing one complete song.
They should be able to perform one preparatory tune and any type of musical notation, such as Staff notation, Tablature, Tonic Solfa, Hindustani, Carnatic, etc.
Candidates must be able to tune individual instruments (if required) and match unknown notes by ear, either vocally or on an instrument.
(ii) Instrument Proficiency:
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in playing at least one instrument from either List A or List B.
