Eligibility Criteria for JKPSC CCE Recruitment

Candidates already holding a civil post in J&K must submit a hard copy of their application through their Head of Office. If the Commission receives a withholding permission from the employer, the application will be rejected and candidature canceled. However, such candidates may apply as fresh candidates if otherwise eligible.
Proof of Degree CompletionDegree must be completed before August 21, 2024. For medical candidates, proof of passing final exam and completion of internship is required

You need to follow these simple steps to apply for this recruitment –

  • Firstly, visit the JKPSC website, then click on the Register option.
  • Then, complete a One-Time Registration with personal details. Read the instructions carefully before applying.
  • Apply for the exam by selecting the relevant post and filling out the application form.
  • Upload required documents and photos (10KB to 20KB).
  • Pay the application fee online:
    • General Category: ₹1200
    • Reserved Categories: ₹700
    • PHC Candidates: Nil
  • Ensure payment is reflected and print the application.

Selection Procedure of JKPSC CCE Recruitment 2024

The selection procedure includes the following stages –

Preliminary Examination

  • The first step is to take the Preliminary Examination, which consists of two objective-type papers: General Studies I and General Studies II. Each paper is worth 200 marks.
  • This stage helps shortlist candidates for the Main Examination.

Main Examination

  • If you qualify for the Preliminary Examination, you will be eligible for the Main Examination. This consists of eight written papers, including one qualifying paper.
  • The papers are conventional essay-type and cover various subjects as per the detailed syllabus.

Interview

  • Candidates who score the required marks in the Main Examination will be called for the Interview, also known as the Personality Test.
  • The Interview carries 250 marks. Your final selection will be based on your performance in both the Main Examination and the Interview.

Important Details

  • Reservation: Valid certificates are required for reserved categories. False claims will lead to disqualification. EWS candidates must provide a certificate in Form XIV-A of SRO-518 dated 02.09.2019.
  • Centre of Examination: Preliminary exams will be held in Srinagar, Anantnag, Baramulla, Jammu, Doda, and Rajouri. The Commission may change centers if needed.
  • Important Documents: Bring the admit card, passport-sized photographs, and a valid photo ID to the exam center. To apply, however, you will be required Date of Birth Certificate, Degree Certificate, Category Certificate, and Domicile Certificate.

Can I Change My Examination Center Once It’s Assigned?

No, requests for changing the examination center will not be entertained after it has been allocated by the Commission.

How Are the Preliminary Examination Marks Used?

Preliminary Examination marks are used to shortlist candidates for the Main Examination. These marks do not count towards the final selection.

What Are the Reservation Policies?

Reserved category candidates must have a valid certificate. Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) must provide a certificate in Form XIV-A of SRO-518 dated 02.09.2019. False claims or incorrect documentation will lead to disqualification.
