Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (ECGC) will conduct the ECGC PO 2024 Exam to recruit eligible candidates to fill the vacancies of Probationary Officer in the Specialist Cadre. ECGC is a government-owned export credit provider owned by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

The official notification for ECGC PO Recruitment 2024 was released on 13th September 2024 for 40 Probationary Officer vacancies, and the online application started on 14th September 2024 on the official website of ECGC. Eligibility Criteria of ECGC PO Recruitment 2024

Candidates must check the ECGC PO Eligibility Criteria before applying for the exam. Candidates applying for the ECGC PO Exam must ensure they fulfill all the eligibility criteria required for the recruitment process.

1. Nationality

As per ECGC PO 2024 eligibility criteria, the applicant must be either:

• an Indian citizen or
• a subject of Nepal, or
• a subject of Bhutan, or
• a Tibetan refugee who came to India to settle permanently before 1 January 1962, or
• A person of Indian origin who has come to India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam to settle permanently.

2. Educational Qualification

The minimum educational qualification required to become a Probationary Officer should be a graduation degree (from any branch or discipline) from a recognized university or institute. Any graduate from any branch or discipline is eligible to take the exam. There are no percentage criteria mentioned in the official notification.

3. Age Limit

The age limit of the candidates will be calculated as of 01 September 2024. The age limit should be as follows –

• Minimum Age Limit: 21 years
• Maximum Age Limit: 30 years

Selection Process of ECGC PO Exam 2024

The selection process consists of two primary stages that applicants have to pass.

Before being considered, applicants must complete an online examination with both objective and descriptive sections. To be selected for the ECGC PO post, candidates have to pass both the online examination and the interview session. ECGC PO Written Exam Pattern

The online examination will have 2 parts – Objective Test (MCQ) and Descriptive Test (to test the knowledge of English). The exam pattern of the ECGC PO exam is discussed below –

Part 1 – Objective Test (MCQ) Test

• The online examination consists of 200 multiple-choice questions for 1 mark.
• There will be 5 subjects – Reasoning Ability, English, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness and Quantitative Aptitude.
• A negative marking of 0.25 marks (quarter marks) will be given for each incorrect answer.
• There will also be a sectional timing for each subject as discussed in the table below.
