Eligibility Criteria for CITS Admission 2024-25

To apply for CITS admission, candidates must have an ITI certificate from NCVT or SCVT, along with at least one year of relevant experience or a Diploma or Degree program in a relevant field.

However, candidates who have completed a Craftsmen of Excellence (CoE) program are not eligible for CITS admission.

Age-Limit for CITS Admission 2024-25

The minimum age requirement for applicants is 18 years, ensuring that candidates have reached a certain level of maturity and readiness for the courses offered.

Interestingly, there is no upper age limit specified, indicating that individuals of all ages who meet the other eligibility criteria are welcome to apply for CITS admission.

You need to pay the following application fee –

  • General and OBC category candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹500/-
  • SC, ST, PH, EWS, and women candidates have a reduced application fee of ₹300/-

Exam Pattern for CITS Admission 2024-25

The Exam Pattern for CITS Admission is structured to assess candidates’ knowledge and aptitude comprehensively. The exam consists of 75% objective-type questions, specifically multiple-choice questions, related to the ITI level and relevant to the trade for which admission is sought. Additionally, 25% of the questions focus on aptitude, covering areas such as logical reasoning, numerical reasoning, and general reasoning.

The exam lasts 2 hours, providing candidates with adequate time to answer the questions effectively. Furthermore, it is conducted in a bilingual format, ensuring accessibility for candidates who are comfortable with both English and Hindi.

Cut-Off of CITS Exam

  • For OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS candidates, the lowest cut-off was slightly lower at 29 marks out of 100.
