How much subsidy is offered by the Government under the Bihar Agricultural Machinery Scheme 2024-25?

Farmers will be provided subsidies based on their caste and category. Information on how much subsidy will be given to farmers from specific categories is mentioned below –

• Under the SMAM scheme, farmers will be subsidized on a total of 09 types of agricultural machinery, including small tractors (18.20 HP).
• Under the SMAM scheme, a 40% subsidy rate on project costs of Rs. 10 lakhs is provided in all districts of the state, and custom hiring centers are established at a maximum cost of Rs. 4 lakh.
• The establishment of an Agricultural Machinery Bank will receive an 80% subsidy rate on project costs of Rs. 10 lakh in selected villages of the state and a maximum of Rs. 8 lakh.
• Under this, for the special custom hiring centers for crop residue management in 09 districts of Patna and Magadh regions, such as Patna, Bhojpur, Kaimur, Buxar, Nalanda, and Rohtas, an 80% maximum subsidy of Rs. 12 lakh will be provided., Nawada, Aurangabad, and Gaya.

Step 2: Register Yourself On DBT Portal

To register on the portal, you will need to provide some information. Complete this form and click on the Submit button.

Step 3: Verify Your Details

Upon registration, verify your details, including your contact number, using OTP.

Step 4: Go To OFMAS Portal

After successfully registering on the DBT Portal, all farmers need to go to this page – https://farmech.bih.nic.in/FMNEW/Homenew.aspx#

Step 5: Register Yourself On OFMAS Portal

Once you are on the OFMAS Portal page, hover over the Farmer Application option and then hover over the Apply to get Subsidy option. After hovering, you will see the Application Entry option. Click on it.
Next, you will see the registration form. Enter the registration number obtained from registering on the DBT Portal and click on the “Get Registration Detail” option.

After successfully registering on the OFMAS Portal, you should go to its home page.
