Medical Standards for Indian Air Force Apprenticeship Training 2024

• Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152 cm.
• Weight: Minimum of 48 kg.
• Hearing: Candidates should have normal hearing, i.e., able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
• Dental: Should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.
• Health: Should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or infection or skin ailment. Candidates shall be physically and mentally fit to undergo the courses in any climate. A valid medical certificate issued by a Medical Officer (Gazetted), as having been medically examined as per medical standards enumerated in the Apprenticeship Act 1961, is to be submitted to Base Repair Depot, Air Force, Pune for scrutiny at the time of the selection process.

• The selection for engagement of the apprentices will be based on merit, considering the total aggregate marks scored in the selection process. Incomplete applications will be rejected. The reservations for engagement of apprentices will be admissible as per the Apprenticeship Act 1961, Rule 5 of Apprenticeship Rules 1992. The period of training for the individual trades has been specified on the website. Candidates who have already completed/are undergoing Apprentices Training are not eligible.
• No TA/DA will be payable for attending the selection process. Candidates will have to make their own arrangements for stay during the selection.
